Cross Country Trip Day 16 (Friday): Orem, Part Two

The morning did not dawn bright and beautiful, but cloudy and rainy. The kids didn't let that stop them from playing outside! They gathered umbrellas, chairs and created a fort under the picnic table.

After lunch, things cleared up just enough that we decided to brave the Provo Rec Center and try to swim. We figured we could stay indoors if the weather stayed wet, but we all love the water (some kids more than others) and were eager to go splash and swim!

Amy carried Peter around, but he slept most of the time despite the acoustics and craziness.

Kate loved these water fountains! She also warmed up to me.

Annie daring Nica? Wish I could have heard this conversation.

"Do you want to...?" and I get this face.

Floating the lazy river:
Zoë, Ella, Kate and Greg in the background.

Nearly the whole group. I could NOT get a clear shot.
The sun came out, and we were ready to head outside to longer waterslides and a little more (relative) quiet.

Megan would overreact and send Kate, who was "controlling" the water, into hysterical laughter.

Riding the under-water monster.

Not ready for the day to end, we headed back to Grandma's house for dinner and then Zoë helped Aunt Amy to bake some cookies. Or was it the other way around?

Zoë helped Aunt Amy bake some cookies.

We ended the evening with the kids watching "Despicable Me, Too"
