I loved the look on Miranda's face the afternoon she jumped out of her crib: one of Triumph, Pride, and Excitement that she could now escape! It was so hard not to be excited with her! I was trying to be stern because it was naptime and I didn't want her to get hurt trying to get out of her crib.
I didn't like the look on her face after she fell while attempting to climb out. So, I bought some mattress covers and we drug the ol' twin mattress up from the basement and played musical furniture until I was as satisfied as possible. It isn't perfect, but it works!
And, she's happy with her Big-Girl Bed. I'm happy that Veronica isn't practically rolling out of the cradle she's been in, and glad that Miranda won't fall out of the crib.
Miranda just falls out of her bed now. Oh, and she can't get in without assistance (in the form of a stool or a parent).
Her sisters were pretty excited about the change, and were "helpers" in getting thins moved.
Miranda loves her princess bedspread. She helps me make her bed every morning. She is pretty good about staying in bed (most of the time). And, yes, she is still napping on occasion.

In some of those pictures Miranda looks like she doesn't have any legs. She's a floating torso....
Yes!!!Miranda!! A Big girl bed!!!
Oh, how fun...and how awful! I remember Andrew climbing out of his bed the day or two after I brought Ella home from the hospital. I was not ready for that (He was only 22 months old). Mom taught me to tell him to stay in there until I came to get him. He did it! MOm is great! yeah, for the big-girl bed. Is she really old enough for that, yet?
Very fun!
