We left early the morning of the 19th and drove from South Bend to Mitchell, South Dakota. We stopped at a motel and went swimming, ate dinner at DQ, bought water bottles at Walmart (I'd left ours in the fridge!) and slept pretty well that night.
The next morning we drove to Grandpa Wing and Grandma Jan's house. The girls loved playing outside, riding in Grandpa's bobcat, and sitting on the back porch. It was beautiful!
Megan was glad to get out and run around, too.
She's only a little mad that I wanted to take her picture.
Yes, I got to drive the bobcat.
'Nica wasn't sure at first, but was happier when she got to sit on my lap and ride around.
The girls are all ready for bed.
Hard to believe these are the same pink nightgowns they wore when we went to Utah two years ago. 'Nica's jammies are ones I sewed for Zoë when she was 18-months old.
Nica took a while to warm up to Grandpa Wing.
By the end of our visit, she really snuggled in with him.
