Summer Trip: August 5, Day 17

We left early in the morning again, and hauled through to the end. It took us 20 hours, but I blame a lot of that on construction, traffic and terrible rain that hit us all through Iowa and Illinois. Would I do it again? Well, lets just say it'll take a few years...

We were all VERY glad to be home, even if we did miss our friends and family we left behind.

We stopped to get some dinner at this terrible DQ. But, there was a field next to the hovel and we were able to run around and play some.

Hard to know that she was having a rough time of it!
She did great for most of the trip, but the last 1/4 was tough, especially since she and Xena would take turns waking up crying for 20 minutes before falling asleep so the other one could start. UGH.

My SUPER helper!
Zoë was so good about keeping the peace and helping out in the back. I know I could NOT have made the trip without her!

We were so glad to be able to stretch our legs. We had "foot races" and Miranda and I were a team.

Juniper Berries and Feathers.

The girls loved climbing in the tree. I was glad that we got at least one shot (all these pics are courtesy of my friend, Tara) of us 5 girls on our road trip home.
