Independence Weekend

Saturday, July 3rd
Pancake Breakfast at the church:

That afternoon we went to our friends, the Moore's, who invited everybody to come celebrate Independence day with swimming, a potluck, and friends.

We loved swimming, jumping on the trampoline, playing with friends, and the sparklers!

Miranda would wear this little floatie and jump into the deep end. She had no fear! and was unstoppable with playing in the water.

I can hardly believe she was still brave enough to lean over the pool like this when just a little bit before this, she was doing some "ballet" moves on the edge and dropped in. I was standing right there and waited for her to bob up to the surface, like she usually does when she jumps in, and then pulled her out. She was a little shaken, but learned to be a little more cautious around the edge of the pool.

My little Mermaid! Zoë was a super swimmer and stayed in until the last minute. She was so good with diving, swimming, and jumping that she played only with the "big kids" that were 2-5 years older than she!

Miranda loved jumping on the trampoline, and got pretty good at it.

All the kids loved the sparklers- no matter how young or old they were!

Sunday, July 4th
We attended church, with Megan and Miranda wearing their new dresses Nana bought them.

We made cupcakes later that afternoon and watched the neighbor's fireworks.

Hey! I just bought the exact same swimsuit for Payge & Chayce that you have for Miranda! Fun! We had to increase our swimsuit collection a little bit (via clearance racks) due to the daily swimming habits we acquired.
