We celebrated our twelfth wedding anniversary yesterday. How?
We went to look for a new bike for Travis (his Birthday/Anniversary gift). Seems they won't have his type/size of bike in until next month. But, it's worth waiting for a good thing, right?
Then, we came home and played in the pool: a splash pool that Veronica loved to stand outside of and tap (but not get wet), that Miranda loved to stand in and use the house to douse everybody (especially baby sister who couldn't get away), Megan loved to splash in (despite the fact she shouldn't get her stitches wet) and Zoë tried to avoid by reading books until she saw how much fun we were having so she changed and then played with us. Travis and I joined in the water games, soaking each other. Travis said it really felt like Summer.
After bathing and cleaning up, we went to the Zoo for their Member's picnic. Pizza, free train ride, bouncy castle, music and dancing on the hill... the girls ran themselves to exhaustion, cried when we left, and fell to sleep as soon as their heads hit the pillow.
I won't go into how fast time flies, and how it seems like yesterday that we were dating and newlyweds.
I will mention how grateful I am for a man who treats me like a Queen, who honors his responsibilities in the priesthood, home, and work, home. I am so glad that we are married, and that we are working on keeping eachother forever. He's my best friend. He's an awesome dad. He's a wonderful husband.
So, Happy Anniversary to the start of our family. It's been a great 12 years and I am looking forward to tomorrow, the next day, week, month, year, decade, century... well forever!

I can't believe it's been 12 years either! Even with the number of kids you have and their ages, it still seems like you guys just got married. I'm so glad that Travis "found" you Nadine and that you're part of our family! I had a blast out there with you guys this summer and miss you tons!
