We've had the opportunity to spend lots of time with friends. And, it has happened that these friends are BOYS! Shocking, I know. It seems that in the last few months our new ward has determined that the Bailey's had far too much estrogen influence, and therefore have rearranged boundaries and drawn new families to the area to overwhelm these girls with some testosterone. Hurrah!
Part of this has led Miranda to feel a strong need to determine who her future husband will be. Beck declined that honor (he said he was too young to consider marrying at this stage in his life), but Miranda persevered and then decided that Noah would be the one for her.. when she grew up.
Then she met Jacob and Joshua. Now, they are brothers, and Jacob is Miranda's age (well, slightly older) and Joshua is a year older than Nica. However, I believe that, although Jacob protests that he will NOT marry Miranda, you should see the way they interact! Two alphas that found compatibility is a wonder. Seeing that in four-year-olds is awesome!
As the saga continues, because Jacob has refused Miranda, Joshua did accept. Miranda explained it was really to get Jacob mad so he would want Miranda. Yet, I think Jacob figured that out and now he says he's going to marry Veronica (who also agrees with this design). Seriously, I just laugh my head off, and say, "I'd LOVE it if you married that family! They are awesome! Just wait until after their missions."
That being said, since we've had so many friends over, we've pulled out the "boy" toys. And, because of the sunshine and perfect weather, that included the Jeep and bikes. We've had hours of fun awesomeness!

Miranda invited Noah to come over and play at our house one afternoon. She was in HEAVEN that he got to spend the afternoon with us!
She was heartbroken when he told Megan that he was going to marry
her.
Miranda had a crushed look on her face when we dropped Noah off at home. I asked her if she was ok, was she sad. She balled up her fists, looked towards heaven and said, "I'm not sad about it!. I'm MAD about it!"

| Miranda and Noah |
| They look pretty good together, eh? |
| I think Noah is used to having a camera in his face all the time. He let me take some great shots. |
| Noah driving, Paul inspecting. Miranda adding "gas" to the jeep. |
| Miranda was driving Noah to work and dropping him off/picking him up. |
| Paul driving his little sister, Julia, around in the jeep. |
Miranda later said, "He broke my life, he broke my heart!" She also drew a picture of Noah crying and then put a big X through the whole picture. She wanted me to mail it to him. Thankfully, she still had Joshua to sooth her broken heart.

| Here, Mom! |
With Jacob and Joshua. We spent hours outside after lunch. Jacob drove the jeep until the battery died. Then he wanted to try riding a bike without training wheels and ran me ragged. But, he was SO DETERMINED, and, well, he succeeded!
| Veronica loved being driven around by Jacob. Almost as much as he loved driving! |
| The kids on their "wheels". |
| See those smiles!?! |
Miranda set up a starting line and had a "race" for Joshua.
Jacob didn't want to participate, so Miranda drew in sidewalk chalk Joshua smiling as the winner and Jacob crying as the loser. |
| I think Joshua's bottom was glued to the tricycle as he never really left it the entire time. |
Another afternoon where I was watching some friend's kids as she was signing papers to purchase her first house, in our ward! I'm so excited to have this family back again! (We were in the same ward before the split in January).
| Bikes, scooters, and jeep. |
| Although they didn't really need it, Miranda gave the boys a good push. |
| The littlest one wasn't too interested, but liked it when he got a ride. I think he was more eager to get out and run around on his own steam. |
| 'Nica was trying to pout and be mad, but that kid's middle name isn't "Smiley" for nothing! |
She had to bury her head to hide the smile.
She was upset that it wasn't her turn to ride in the jeep. |
| The boys took driving seriously- well almost. They still had a lot of fun! |
