Rewind: April Showers

One Sunday morning we had a HUGE thunderstorm crash through our area. Lightening, Thunder, torrential rain (you couldn't hardly see the house across the street from us through the sheets of water!). It left a wonderful puddle of water in front of our house and the girls begged to go outside and play in it.

They geared up, and dashed outside. I didn't have the heart to call them back in, even though I was fearful that we would have a massive wardrobe change in the next 20 minutes before we had to leave for church.

The girls made paper boats and floated them in the gutter.
They also tried racing plastic lids and other oddments to see which would go the fastest.

'Nica loved the umbrella and boots.

She also loved posing for me.

It's a little blurry, but that's because Miranda was moving and running around and so active- just loving getting wet in the water.

Miranda was disappointed she didn't have her own rain boots,
until she found her mom's boots and then she giggled the rest of the time.
