Climber

I've never had a little one climb before. I haven't had to worry about a child getting up higher than she is able to reach, and therefore, most of my house isn't all that "babyproof". My philosophy is more along the lines of teach them what not to touch, and then you don't have to worry when you go to non-baby-proofed houses.

Still, I might have to rethink that with a climber.

Miranda LOVES to get into things. I think part of it is because she has big sisters who show her what they can get into, and she does NOT want to be left out.

She is rather ingenious. She has much better upper body strength (compared to her sisters at a similar age). She moves a stool/chair/etc. around to where she wants to climb, and then she makes her own little ladder to gain access. She also likes climbing on/in anything else that is handy. Of course, she was the youngest to go up/down stairs by herself, too.
I shouldn't be surprised. But I'm not ready for a climber. They get into things I don't want (like a whole box of tissues she pulled out on the floor) and they fall (can't count how many times she's knocked her noggin).

Well, I guess she has to keep up with her sisters....
