I am 37 today.
I am waaaay behind on this blog!
I have had so many good things happen in my life, I just wanted to write down a few for which I am very grateful....
-for amazing friends who are there for me, who talk with me, work on projects with me, who go places with me.
Julie (left) invited our (Bailey & Lyman) families over for a Green Dinner in honor of St. Patrick's Day. |
-for my Seminary students who read scriptures (or don't), come to class, and are awake (most of the time!); I love teaching these high school kids, and each one of them is so important. I keep them in my prayers, and I think about them daily.
-for my four daughters, their smiles, their kindness, their helpfulness with their sisters and around the house, for their singing voices, and stories, and hugs and kisses, and cuddles, and questions.
-for three universities inviting Travis to come interview: University of Dayton, SUNY at Geneseo, and Northern Michigan University. If I could have only one wish for my birthday, it would be that Travis was given a job offer to one of these schools in particular.
-for my husband, Travis, who is my best friend, is a super hard worker, who provides for us in so many ways, who loves his job and his research, his daughters, and adores me (it shows!). There are definitely not words enough, nor am I an eloquent enough writer, to express how much I love him, and how grateful I am for him.
Other good news:
+The sun in shining today. Yeah, it's only 25 F outside, and it was snowing when I woke up, but the sun is out! Spring is coming....
+Miranda was accepted to Kennedy Primary Academy for this 2013-2014 school year! If we stick around South Bend, she'll be in the same school her sisters went. (We're still waiting to hear if Zoë got accepted to the LaSalle Intermediate- maybe tomorrow?)
+I got the most awesome early-birthday gift! My mom and Travis pooled their resources and were able to buy me an iPad mini. I LOVE LOVE LOVE it! I use it all the time, all the day, and I'm still finding ways to use it better and more. The girls love it, too (they would spend as much time on it as I do if I let them!)
+We hope to make it out to Utah this summer for both family and friend reunions!
