Another Set of Three's

They say things come in sets of threes. I had one great set of threes with the girls getting in their schools, and another great set of three interviews for Travis. Now here are my sets of three bad things:

1/3. Last week my milk steamer broke. If you knew me you would know that this is a catastrophe. No more hot cups of cocoa with lots of frothy milk in the morning. They no longer make this model of milk steamer. The best I can find is a milk frother that heats milk and forms bubbles, but does not add steam.

2/3. The other van door no longer opens at the push of a button. When this happened on the other side, the cost would have been $1600 to repair. I will be taking it to the dealership today to find out if it is the same broken mechanisms. Hopefully it's just need some grease and will work fine. But you don't always get what you hope for... (This is the title of the book my daughters like to read.)

3/3 Last night I got out some painting tools for a friend tomorrow. Megan grabbed the roller brush and went into the living room to try it out with her sisters. She decided to use the wall the cuckoo clock was hanging on. I bet you can imagine what happened next. I know it's just a cuckoo clock, but it's really a lot more to me than that. This was the clock we bought in the Black Forest when Travis and I went there for 14th anniversary this last summer. Every time I heard it cuckoo I would smile as I counted; the clock and its sounds reminded me of my trip, my anniversary, of my husband, and happy times. I am writing to the store where we purchased the clock to see if they can maybe repair it. Otherwise we will have to save up and buy a new one. Sigh

At least that's three. We should be done now with 'MAJOR BREAKAGES'. At least I hope so... But,
You don't always get what you hope for.

UGGGGGHHHHHHHH my heart literally hurt when I read about your cuckoo clock!!! Not to mention your milk steamer. Oh that's horrible. I'm so, so, so sorry.

I think you need to go back to Germany. :)

Bummer. That totally stinks. And I second LIz. You should go back to Germany!!!
One thing we've been doing for cocoa lately is melting some chocolate chips in warm milk, then putting it in the blender for a bit, then putting it back on the stove and getting it to desired temp and it ends up frothy and yummy. I'm sure it is nowhere near as awesome as a steamer, but maybe it could hold you over?
Good luck friend!
