Fresh Sheets

I love the smell of freshly laundered sheets. I love the crisp feel to them, too. In the summer my grandma hangs her sheets outside to dry, and I love how crunchy they feel when you slide into bed, and how the scent brings to mind summers playing outside in the evening.

But, what is it in freshly laundered sheets that causes a child to wet the bed? This phenomenon does not seem limited to my child(ren) as I've heard other moms say also that every time the bed gets changed, somebody wets the bed that night. It's bad enough having to make a bed from the mattress up once in a day, but twice?

I'm going to lay down on my freshly laundered sheets. Maybe I'll dream of summer nights. Maybe I will sleep enough that I won't remember my dreams. Well, that might be a dream in itself. But, I can hope...

Oh, and for the next few days while my hubby is out of town, I am grateful for whomever invented pull-ups. They'll save me some headaches (figuratively and literally- have you recently changed sheets on the lower bunk of a bunk bed?)

Bunk beds are the worst to change sheets on. ( the worst is the top for me!) I can't wait till my kids are old enough to change their OWN sheets It's not a process I love at all!
