What Ever Happened to the Cure?

Please, please please please! Would some reincarnate Koch or Salk come up with the cure for the common cold? I know it isn't technically possible, and science long ago gave up finding one. But, shouldn't this question be readdressed? They're starting to pull even the "placebo" cold medicines off the shelf saying they don't really do anything.

Oh, well, I guess we'll just chalk up these last two weeks: score 100 for the cold, 0 for the Bailey's. Maybe now that the snow has arrived (will it stay?) we might be in better shape. Or maybe worse. Maybe we'll just stay sick until May, like we did last year. I really hope not. I need some sleep!
