Animal Lover

Miranda goes NUTS over any dog she sees or even hears. She will stand at the front screen door and "woof" at our neighbor's dog as she dances up and down. She will kick her legs and "woof" if we see somebody walking their dog. When we were at the library last week, she spotted a little book with a dog on the front, and again went through her "song and dance". I have tried to capture this on video a number of times, and finally, with the aide of a book of dogs and cats, I had success.

Yes, my third child has NO fear of animals. Miranda grabs our neighbor's dog and holds on, will pet her face/tail/leg or whatever is within reach, and chases after the dog when she moves. Unlike her two big sisters, who would screech and run away from anything that was fuzzy and moved, Miranda is so excited to see any animal and chases after it.

She's also improving her verbal skills and learning about consequences (e.g. a dropped book with an accompanied "Uh Oh!" will result in replacement of said fallen book).

Need I add that this child LOVES books!?!
