Spring Break- more than putting your feet up

Here is how I spent my day (the breaks during and in between projects were spent refereeing four video-game engrossed girls who were in life-and-death arguments over territory/property in Minecraft).

New paint for the girls' bathroom:

It seems hard to tell, but the walls in the bathroom are painted with an ombré effect- the lower on the wall, the darker the shade of blue. It was a lot more work, but I love how it looks! I don't know if I would do it in another room here in this house, but it seems perfect for the bathroom. I have a few touch-ups and reinstalling hardware, but then it is Done!

And a new faucet for the kitchen:

The old kitchen faucet handle was completely broken and kept falling off, locking the water on. Now, I don't have to worry about that or about knocking the faucet with a pot while filling it up! I had a little help with the faucet from Z, ME and MG, thankfully they were willing and able!

Now, I just have some sewing to help Zoë with, a couple of bookshelves to assemble and fill, a Minecraft party for the girls tomorrow and some deck chairs to build. Good things to do when it is snowy outside:

Thankfully, this weather isn't supposed to stick around all week... Just today and tomorrow. We might even be able to get outside again by Thursday! And maybe my flowers will bloom... They really popped out of the ground with the three days of warm weather, so maybe we'll have some blooms before May...?
