NY Residents!

Travis and I, armed with Indiana Driver Licences, Passports, and Social Security Cards headed to the DMV to prove that we are now going to live in New York State. We had to surrender the licenses (which only made me nervous because I now have to wait 2 weeks before I have a photo ID again). And, after a very long wait (so much paperwork! and our clerk was still efficient and rather fast!), we were handed these goldenrod New York State license plates to put on our vehicles. Like nothing else, this really makes me feel like we are officially residents of New York State!

I think I was excited enough that it gave me the energy (despite an awful virus that took me out over the weekend) to rearrange the garage. There weren't many boxes to unpack, just tubs and things to put away. Can I tell you how exciting it was to be able to park my van in the garage!?!? Now, if I can just get the garage door to stop opening on its own....

Travis got home from work and took the plates outside to swap out.

Miranda held on to the van's plates while Travis was swapping out the car plates.

Modelling our new van plates!
Yep, it's an awful color, but we are really from New York State!

This one had a different screw securing the plates, so Travis was deciding which tool to go for.

Yay for Power Drills!

"Here you go!"
(I can hear her saying that in my head, can you?)
