Zoë's Photography

Zoë was bored during our excursion to Rose Park on Wednesday. This park has lots of shade, except where the splash-pad is located, and the moms chatted and fed the kids while they ran between blankets and water and playground. It was so much fun! But, alas, the single nine-year-old, who was older than everybody by at least 3 years, was bored. So, I gave her an assignment: Take the camera and shoot photographs of each color of the rainbow. "Do I have to take them in order?" Nope, but get close enough that you can see the color, but still tell what the object is.

Well, then she started looking around at other things and decided to see what she could do with the different patterns water made. She had to wait a while to get just the right shot (at splashpads the waters don't always go in the same order, or come on when you want them to).

It's awesome having a camera that can get wet! It's even more awesome to see how a child can take that tool and make some beautiful things with it.
