I value sleep. I really do. I just have a hard time going to bed. There are so many other things I want to do! Like read a book, work with pictures on the computer, write on my blog, visit with friends, talk with my husband, watch something on TV, etc.
Still, I've found that because I now must get up most every morning at 5am, my clock is starting to adjust (a little) and I am actually doing better overall. But, maybe I'm feeling that way because two sweet friends took my girls to the zoo yesterday while I came home and took a nap. Ahh, even with the phone ringing three times in the hour-and-a-half I was horizontal, I still slept really well.
I'm also hopeful I've got this Seminary thing settled a bit. It's work. But, I'm enjoying the students (who are awesome!) and I am enjoying the opportunities I have to read and study these scriptures and find out how to "liken" them to me and to the students. It's challenging, but definitely worth it; even just these last few weeks I've learned so much.
But, less sleep and more time dedicated to something else hasn't slowed me down much. Throwing my back out this week certainly did, but I still managed to take Miranda and Veronica on a trolly ride to get Megan and go to a picnic with some friends; went to the farm; made pesto (although my brain wasn't functioning so great since I put in twice as much salt as called for and almost completely ruined the pesto!); made pear fruit leather; Family Fall Festival; birthday cake for the new member picnic; sewing (I got the markings on my quilt top and it's pinned. I'm so excited to finish the wall hanging quilt). I even cleaned up the sun room (which really needed it. I didn't get into drawers and cupboards, but I did get everything off the floor, and that took me about 3 hours! It was really messy!!)
I'll really try to get some pictures posted. I know that those tell more of what has happened, at least as far as my children are concerned, and they're much more interesting to look at than read words.
Lots of stuff happening these next few days and weeks. I hope I'll be ready for them. Oh, and my back is getting better, but I still am going to see a chiropractor. Maybe I can get some idea of how to prevent my back from having more problems. We'll see...
