Friends

We LOVE having play dates with friends! My girls get so excited when anybody comes over to play, or when I make arrangements to get together with other friends. They will almost always ask, when we're headed somewhere "So, which friends are going to meet us there?"

There is a sweet little boy I would love to adopt and call my own, so I'm glad that my friend lets me pretend every Monday that he's mine. Maybe it's the red hair, or his sweet personality, or that he seems so quiet (compared to my girls... unless they try to take something out of his hands, but that is a common ignition for louder voices in my home). I was smiling so big when I saw Miranda, my dancing music-loving princess, and this little boy dancing "together". At least in tandem...

We also took a trip to the Zoo last week with one of Megan's preschool friends. They are BEST BUDS and when I told Megan that we had a play date arranged, Megan would ask me daily how much longer before she got to see her friend. Miranda just assumed that Megan's friend was her friend, too. And, Zoë was perfectly thrilled to have another girl close to her age (a year younger). I was glad to meet another friend, too, as I had a great time talking with their mom! Of course, it was another fun trip to the Zoo.

I have to explain this last picture. There is a mist sprayer at one section of the zoo where the kids can cool off. We walked from there across the zoo to the bathrooms, and when we got there, one of the friends saw something on Miranda's eyebrows. We looked a little closer, wondering if it were cracker crumbs or if it were mist. Can you tell?
