In the chocolate house

I was meeting some of my new neighbors and one of them said, "Oh! You live in the chocolate house!" I asked her what she meant, and she said the taupe and brown trim reminded her of chocolate.

I can live with that!

We arrived in New York state two weeks ago yesterday (Friday) and signed papers to become homeowners.

Sadly, I was so busy with all the details, I didn't get pictures of before, halfway, after, or moved in. So, just enjoy this "in-between" where we had possession of the house, but none of our possessions.

Front view of our "Chocolate House"
I love the red front door!

Miranda and Veronica's room.
They slept on air mattresses until our furniture arrived.
Their room looks out over the front yard.

Travis getting the girls up for church.
Zoë and Megan slept on bunk bed mattresses we needed to buy anyway.
Their room looks out over the back yard.

This shows part of their view; you can see the little shed (with the red door!) in the back yard.

Nowhere to sit, yet, the girls are looking at books in our living room.
When I get fully unpacked (I have basically just the basement, a few more boxes in my room and the guest room left), I will take pictures of the whole house... even a video tour.

But, that might be another few weeks.... :)
