Upwardly Mobile

Veronica successfully traversed the stairs yesterday. One direction only: up.

I think it came from a little practice at the pool on Monday. She crawled up the stairs out of the pool. She seems to be one to tentatively try something new, and then study and study and study it until she's ready, and then she leaps forward.

See, she didn't crawl; no military style or scoot. She just one day got up on all fours, and a few days later she was crawling across the room!

She tried the bottom stair a few times and fell down. Then on Monday she got out of the 2 steps of the pool and yesterday she climbed up the whole first level of stairs (that's 9 steps with two landings, and she'd had finished them if I hadn't scooped her up on my way out the door).

Now, she just needs to learn to go down. And, she needs to learn to walk.

I strongly dislike the crawling stage.

I love the walking/talking stage! Even with my other 3 older walkers/talkers. I laughed at the 4-way conversation in the van yesterday; each daughter was talking at/with me while we were driving home. So fun!

Walking and talking can't be too far away!
