And more painting

RED!

Our outside doors were red when we first viewed the house. When seeing them I thought, "This is a house I could live in."

Well, time and sunshine and cold weather took their toll on the red doors, fading them to streaked pink, Ugh. Not what I want!

Nana helped me pick out the color, and we bought a gallon of exterior "Posh Red" paint. And then did nothing.

Well, this morning, I felt like I had enough of a break on Sunday and was ready to get back to painting (see previous post). And the door REALLY needed it!

After:

Well, after finishing the front door I still had some paint in my pan and I thought, "the garage side door won't take long to do... And so I went over there and painted that door.

And then I thought, "Well, I can't just do the house doors when the shed door really needs it, too. And I already have everything out, so why not!? It won't take very long."

Four hours, less than a quart of paint*, some washing, scrubbing, lots of taping, and some painting and now I have three very red, clean, fresh, bright RED doors! Ahhhh, feels sooooo good!

*unless I were changing the color! I would not buy more than a quart of paint next time. It was expensive to get a gallon, and most of it is still in the can!
