Although Miranda continues to remind me that our stockings are not hung by the chimeny (they are laying on the floor in front of the fireplace with care...), we have started to completely our Christmas decorations... lights, nativities (last I counted I think I had 23!), and finally, our Christmas Tree this weekend.
It was a crazy Saturday with blizzard like conditions and I got stuck in a friends' driveway on our way home from picking out our tree. And the almost-seven-foot tree has nearly fallen over 5 times (with no ornaments, only lights, and three near misses while fully loaded!). We had a lovely 18 inches of snow over the weekend, and our home smells of pine, cinnamon and sugar cookies. We have baked, decorated, eaten, snuggled in front of warm fires, and enjoyed playing with nativities (the ones I they are allowed to play with). Now, I just need to get the GIFT part of Christmas finished.... which is what I should be working on instead of updating my blog, that is sadly months and months behind. I promise, I will get at least Birthday and Baptism pics up before 2014!
The girls with Travis after putting up most of our Christmas decorations. We left the tree stuff in box, and it still took a few more days to tweak things and add some things. |

Winter Wonderland- I LOVE LOVE LOVE the sunsets from our house! This photo off our back porch is of snowfall from earlier this month (or was it November?). |
