Bike Ride

If you know me, you know I love to ride bikes.

It's how I met Travis and how we started dating.

I bought a bike trailer when I was pregnant with Zoë, knowing we would want to have that little ability to move around. I bought a double-seater, knowing we'd have more kids. All four of my girls have ridden in and loved the bike trailer. Some of my older kids want to go back and ride in it again.

Despite all the little bums that have ridden in it, we had a first last night:

Three little kids!

My good friend and all 7 of our combined daughters went for a bike ride along the East Race Trail. The little ones in the trailer did GREAT! Miranda was wonderful with the babies, so sweet and had her arms around them the whole time (probably cuz it was the most comfortable position). The two oldest rode two-wheelers, Megan was on her bike (with training wheels) and the last child was in a jogging stroller with my friend pushing her.

We had a picnic lunch at the end of the East Race Waterway, and the girls loved running around and being with friends.

We walked part of the way home because my friend's oldest had a popped tire (we think it's the tube that has a MAJOR leak- it deflated as fast as I could pump it up!) She was still a trooper and rode her bike, flat front tire and all (and any of you who've ever ridden with a flat front know how hard that can be).

We were all happy tired when we got home, but the girls were not ready to leave. Still, we had to part company because it was bedtime and a school night.

We are ALL looking forward to Summer Vacation (Only 18 days to go; Zoë made a chain so she can count down the days).

We will have to squish three in our trailer, too, now that we have 5! Older two can ride fine, but my 4 year old is scared to try. Which is fine, really.

Fun day!Well, except the flat:) Today I saw a first - a man pulling TWO bicycle trailers - one behind the other. He must have rigged it somehow. I thought that was pretty clever. Wish I would have thought of that back when I was toting three babies to school and back almost daily. I think we bent the frame of our first trailer.

I tried calling you the other day, but no answer. Have you seen the cheesecakes at costco.com that sell for $99.00? If not, go there and type cupcakes in the search. You'll see a big cheesecake shaped like a cupcake. Go below it and watch the video. I thought you would enjoy it with all your cake making. I watched it 4 or 5 times I was so amazed.
