It was hot (probably in the upper 70s at this point).
I am at mile 5 of 6.2.
But, I'm still RUNNING...
and with a smile on my face, too!
(The smile was there because I saw my daughters and husband cheering me on).

Zoë took my picture as I ran by our house.
They were waiting for me to run past and then they jumped on their bikes to meet me at the finish line.

Look at my awesome family!
They were so great to cheer me on and give me lots of smiles when I finished.

I finished my first 10K. It felt good. I finished my race in 1:06:43 (not bad, really). I am still not a runner, and I don't know if I'd do it again, but I can say that I've run it, and I'm proud of myself. It's also inspired Zoë to want to run in the 5K next year! Hmmmm, what have I started?

I didn't notice yesterday that the girls were all wearing pink shirts, and Travis red (in the same color family as pink). Whose idea was that?
I thought the color coordination was amazing! I don't know if Travis consciously picked these colors (although I can believe he would!). Zoë is actually in purple. But we all fit together!
That really is awesome! I am so proud of you. It is making me excited for my 10K on the 4th! Love the Freedom Run!
wow!!! You don't even look like you ran that far! Great for you!
Wow!! Good for you! You don't even look miserable - just happy! I want (need) to start running too. I'm with you on the sink/drain episode- I love solving problems like that (more than running!).
