Snow Bands in the Midwest

After shoveling the walks yesterday (about 4-6 inches), we woke up to this:

I'm so glad we have central heat again!!!

The sidewalk snow is close to 18-inches deep, from what I can tell. We've been in a snow band all night, and it's certainly left a mark. Travis started shoveling a walks even before the sun came up. The roads aren't plowed (at least the side streets- I'm sure they've been busy trying to keep the thoroughfares clear!) That's a LOT of snow- and we're not done yet! They say this snow is to continue until 7am tomorrow.

Fortunately, or rather unfortunately, we have only 3 things we have to do today: Megan's kindergarten test (part of the application process for the same Magnet school Zoë is attending), Travis has some embryos to check at work, and a baptism. Maybe they'll cancel the baptism.... But it's still early in the monrning- we might see sunshine today... or we might continue to see this white-out.

'Has to be more than 18 inches. Look at it compared to Miranda. Brrr!
So, how was Megan's test? Travis, perhaps you should invest in snowshoes to get to work. (Kent Peterson has a way to make them inexpensively out of PVC pipe- they made a bunch for the scouts). Keep inside as much as possible! Love to you.
