Hall-O-Weeeen!

If I remember correctly, this season of the year is my younger sister's favorite holiday. It is one of my favorites, too! Fun costumes, dressing up, candy, parties, cool-but-not-cold weather (perfect for hot chocolate), candy, decorations, hot cocoa, crispy mornings, Jack Frost painting the town, snuggling up warm under big heavy blankets (oh, uh, I do that all year round).

Zoë was asking all this past week if we could put up Halloween decorations. So, while we listened to General Conference on Sunday, we decorated the house for Halloween.

'Nica was as excited to pull off the window stickers as her sisters were to put them up.

What to put where?

Megan was jumping on and off couches to place decorations, that little devil.

Miranda was so excited to have a Halloween Shirt. We love that it says "Boo" on it: something that's become a bit of a trademark for her and a connection to her Grandpa. Miranda was so excited to have this new shirt that she even saved it in her drawer to wear the next day!

Zoë liked her shirt, too. Doesn't she look thrilled?

'Nica had fun with all the action around her. She still isn't walking, but she'd crawl over to a window or a door or the stairs (up or down) and she'd pull off stickers or pick up decorations. Her favorite decoration was the Salem Witch we hung from our entryway light. Every time she sees that she points to it and grins and says, "Whass-dat?"
(and, yes, she does look a lot like Miranda in the above picture)

Megan found the headband and immediately donned her devil's horns. She wanted something more exciting on her shirt, but was happy with the one she got.

She's happy going up, but only ok with coming down.

What great (and can I say, cute) girls!

I'm so excited for all the activities and festivities that start with Halloween.
I think the girls are excited, too!
